Our story
Craft that sustains a district
SHPCL brings together artisans of Sonbhadra who work with wood, bamboo and other locally available natural materials. By organising them into a producer company, members gain shared access to raw material, design guidance, training and — most importantly — markets beyond their own village.
Every lamp, light and utility item sold here is made by hand. The income returns to the maker and to the collective, keeping traditional and tribal craft skills alive for the next generation.
Artisan owned
Members are the producers themselves — women’s self-help groups and traditional craft families of Sonbhadra.
Natural materials
Products are made from locally sourced wood and bamboo, worked by hand with minimal machinery.
